Science Orientation Week
About SOW.
Science Orientation Week (SOW) is a platform to kickstart the vibrant student life in Science for incoming freshmen! As a 4D3N Orientation Camp that serves to matriculate freshmen into NUS and into Science, it allows freshmen to be exposed to the various non-curriculum activities and events under Science Club.

Featuring both internal and external segments for freshmen to forge new friendships and create shared memories in NUS, SOW will not only orientate freshmen around NUS and Science but ensure them the most enjoyable and fun-filled start to their university lives. Some segments include the iconic Beach Day where freshmen can enjoy a fun-filled day at the beach and our External Amazing Race (EAR) where OGs compete to be the champion in an external location! Fun fact: We once had it at Gardens by the Bay where we played games with beautiful scenery in the background!

To cater to a diversity of interests, SOW also dedicates time for briefings on important tools such as ModReg which is crucial in every NUS student’s journey, helping freshmen to properly prepare for their university life by equipping them with the skill to plan their modules. They say if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!
